I have not updated my blog in a while, so here I am. The past few days have been completely amazing!!! This weekend I was in two dodge ball competitions. I made some new friends at Marcus Whitman! This weekend also saw me eating taco bell twice, and drinking lots of soda! Now that it is time for outdoor I can not drink any soda. I also had a lot of fun in Wal Mart playing hide and seek with my Marcus Whitman friends. I also had a very fun day on Friday. I ate taco bell and then I went to a dodge ball tournament. Although out team was not the winner, we still had a lot of fun. Afterwards I went to a teammates house and I had a blast!
This coming week should be very fun! Tomorrow is the first "official" day of outdoor track and field. I will not be running until next week because my leg is still hurting. I am convinced that it will go away sometime soon. I am going to keep doing my core workouts. I have been building up a lot of muscle in my core during the off season which is going to be very helpful during outdoor.
This is just a small update, I am very tired and am headed off to bed!

Outdoor Track

So Outdoor starts next week. I do not have to go until the week after because of my break from indoor. I am very excited for this season. I feel like I can mature as a runner and drop my times by a large margin. I am hopeful that my injury will heal soon so that I can begin training again. I have been working on my upper body lately which I hope will make me a much stronger runner. I can keep a good pace but when the end of the race is near I always seem to be weak. Push ups, Pull Ups and Crunches are all examples of some of the work I have been doing. I also have a list of exercise exercises that will help me to strengthen other parts of my body so that there is not such a large imbalance of my muscles. I also plan to train very hard this season. I am convinced to reach my goals. I am sure that I can run a 10:30 two mile and a 4:50 mile. I hope that these times will drop throughout the season. I hope that our team can be a sectional championship team this year.
I am very excited to see how this season goes, and I will be posting about it on here.

Snow Day!!!! My town got blanketed with a thick layer of dense wet snow. We got about a foot total with some spots reaching into thee to four foot drifts! A good part of my morning involved shoveling snow. My mother woke me up at 10:00 and sent me outside to shovel with my dad who had already been outside for an hour. We have a plow on our four wheeler but it was not enough for the wet snow. It got stuck many times and we even had to have our neighbor come over with his snowblower.
Later on in the day I put my snowshoes on and went back into the woods for a nice workout. My shoes are trail/adventure shoes and not are not designed for running. I got a nice upper body workout and some work in my legs. My left knee still hurts to run which makes me upset. The trip through the woods lasted about thirty minutes. It was very slow going because of how deep the snow was. I thought that it was beautiful out! There is a video that I will post at the end of this post. Snow days are amazing and today was probably my final one as a high schooler. I will miss the magic of waking up and checking the news to see if our school is canceled. I helped to spread this magic to my youngest sister. Earlier in the morning me and her built an awesome snow cave and later on we had a snowball fight! It was a pretty fun morning.
The afternoon saw me on the computer just browsing around and taking surveys. I cashed out at one of my websites and I now have $10.50 in my paypal account! My mother, my sister and I went on an adventure after this. She had a doctors appointment, and afterwards we went to the mall. The mall was sweet and I got "THE BOX" from taco bell! The drive home from the mall was treacherous! Snow was pouring down heavily. We were going 30 miles per hour down 590! You could not even see the lines on the road! By the time we got to webster the roads were much better.

Some interesting tech news today:
  • First of all the JooJoo tablets ship date has been moved back to March 25th. This is the second delay that this company has seen. The tablet looks pretty sick and I am debating on whether to get one or not. Link to JooJoo's website https://thejoojoo.com/
  • Palm's mobile operating system, webOS has been updated to version 1.4 which has a slew of new features.
  • And a lot of little news about how computers are moving towards a different age, where there will be new ways of data input, such as touch screens. The product of this year is no doubt the Tablet PC. All of the major computer companies are building these machines. Apple with the iPad, Dell with the Mini 5 which is rumored to be the first of a family of tablets, ASUS, Acer, HP and Samsung are all working hard to develop the best product. Right now it is looking like Apple will have a large portion of the emerging "tablet" market.

Today was a very intense day ! I was almost involved in a car accident and had a great day at school. I started my morning with my usual beverage. two teabags of green tea, a scoop of sugar and hot water in my mug! That is such a tasty drink. Physics came and there was a test which was quite easy. The rest of the school day just seemed to fly right by. When one o'clock hit I was excused from school. This started the next part of the day.

My mother was having me practice driving. It was smoothing sailing all the way to Lowes where we spent a long time looking at new fridges which was not fun at all. We then went to a few more stores. On the way home there was a very close call. I am very blessed to have not been injured or have a car with a large dent in it. Some dingbat for lack of a better term, thought it would be funny to turn left right in front of me at an intersection. Basically there were two lanes, I was in the left lane and he was in the right lane. We were at a stop light and when it hit green I scanned to make sure there was no one running the red light. I then started going through the intersection, and the guy who was on my right turns right into the front of my car. He was within meters of taking out the front bumper. After this he like hits the gas, then slams the brakes on right in front of me. A huge shot of adrenaline shot through my body like lightning striking down from the sky. I smashed on my brakes in response to this. At this point the guy was blocking the intersection. I feel very blessed to have come out of this without being hit anywhere. It was a perfect example of how if I was driving distracted I would not have noticed this danger and probably have a large number of repairs for the car. Even though I am not very religious, I know that there was a higher force that helped keep me safe.

There were some very interesting stories in todays news! Although there were no really high tech stories, I found a few other articles that were fun to read.

Today was a pretty good day. It started off pretty early. I made some good coffee thing in my mug. I mixed hot cholcate mix, creamer, cholcate syrup and coffee together. It tasted really good and helped me get through my math test. That test was really easy, really really easy. I had English and then went to the library which is always a good time. I had lunch in the band room which was pretty sweet. After that I had communication systems and physics. Physics was so boring today we reviewed for some test tomorrow that is going to suck. Senioritis is setting in pretty hard right now.

After school I went into the weight room and used the elipictal for like ten minutes to work my legs out, and then did some random upper body workout. I started at one pullup, two pushups and four situps. I did sets up to five pullups, ten pushups and twenty situps. I have a plyometric workout to do during my time off from track. I can not wait for our first duel meet of the season! We go against Newark on our home track.

After I got home I did some work on the computer. Today I did not make too much money, maybe ten bucks total. I am on a new survey website that hoepfully will come through and pay well! If you want any info on it just contact me and I can help you. I also messed up trying to send out a mass email in some freelance job that I took. I feel stupid for it, but mistakes are there to be learned from. Later on tonight I plan to make a video tutorial showing how to wirelessly sync the Zune HD.

Today there was some pretty sweet tech news!
  • iTunes has officially sold their ten billionth song! That is a lot of music!
  • There is a titanium mod for the iPhone which is pretty sweet!
  • Flash 10.1 has released some updates so that netbooks can get 1080p

In other news we are supposed to be hit with a huge snowstorm tonight so hopefully there will be a snow day tomorrow! That would be awesome because we have not had a single snow day this whole year.

Today 2/23/2010

So today was a pretty normal day. I had to get up at 7 for school. School was very boring today and physics went on forever. After school was out I waited for my mother to come pick me up and then I did some driving practice. I worked on my parallel parking for my road test next week. After that I came home and worked on the computer for a bit and made some money. I deep fried some curly fries which were great and then did some homework. I texted a little to much tonight which I need to cut down on!
I am a little upset because I an cannot run for a few weeks! March 15th is when i can run again. Starting next week I am going to start weightlifting and cross training until the start of outdoor. I am setting my goals now for this season. They are
800: 2:15
1600:4:55
3200:10:45
I know that these goals are reachable if I can train properly this season without injuries.

Hopefully tomorrow is not boring, I have a math test first thing that does not look appealing!
And I am pretty sure that I am going to Fredonia!!

Until Later,
